History & tradition
Court textiles, early 20th century
Chrysanthemums appear woven into the satin of an early-20th-century jewellery wrapper of Prince Yeong's consort in the National Palace Museum. The flower's usual reading of longevity and integrity comes from general East Asian symbolism; the museum record does not explain it.
Researched with low confidence.
