History & tradition
East Asian cosmology; late Joseon as a national emblem
The taegeuk shows the balance of yin and yang. It became a late-Joseon national emblem on the flag and appears on rice-cake stamps; its use on bojagi is only claimed by a hobby source.
No museum record of a taegeuk bojagi was found.
Researched with low confidence.
