History & tradition
Five-phase colour theory; mixed colours between the cardinal ones
The five intermediate colours (오간색) are made by mixing the cardinal ones and sit between their directions; with the five 정색 they form a ten-colour system. They covered the greens, purples, pinks and jade blues used at court. Wikipedia notes the court favoured pink-red to purple cloth; 연두보 is an encyclopedia colour category.
The existing record cites koreascience CFKO200932963976637 for palace bojagi colour records, but that paper is a computer-vision study on identifying 오정색/오간색 and does not discuss palace bojagi.
Researched with medium confidence.
